Summary: As part of the Operations team, this position is responsible for the leadership role representing WWCI (Company) to the client on well control and pressure control jobs. Supervise all Company personnel working under this position on job locations. Interface with the client and vendors in the course of design and implementation of solutions.  Travel is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide solutions to clients for remedy of well control and pressure control problems.
  • Work with client to formulate a mutually agreed upon solution(s).
  • Lead Company team on job site.
  • Coordinate needed services and equipment for well work.
  • Delegate work tasks and responsibilities among the team members.
  • Responsible for reporting daily activities to Company management.
  • Responsible for gathering records, assembling and reporting of the Company pro forma invoice.
  • Responsible for safety on site and enforcement of the Companies Safety Policy.
  • Responsible for complying with Company mandatory safety training.
  • Interface with third party service and product providers as a means to keep informed of new tools and services.
  • Identify and assist Company management in developing and implementing best practices for well control and pressure control operations as needed.
  • Responsible for ongoing development of job related skills and knowledge.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities directed by Management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry
  • 7 years experience in well control
  • Proficient in basic and advanced well control techniques
  • Knowledgeable of well-bore design and surface equipment
  • Knowledgeable of and proficient in the use of firefighting equipment
  • Knowledgeable of land and marine Drilling Rigs, Snubbing units, Coiled Tubing units, Electric line and Wire line units and the mechanical characteristics of all
  • Knowledgeable of both, bottom supported and floating Offshore Drilling and Production facilities
  • Proficient in converting between Imperial and Metric units of measurement
  • Knowledgeable in oilfield related equipment, materials, and suppliers
  • High mathematical aptitude
  • Able to develop and implement solutions
  • Able to articulate concepts and ideas
  • Able to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Able to adhere to Company policies and work requirements
  • Ability to maintain productive cooperative working relationship with coworkers and vendor staff
  • Ability to produce desired results for activities within their scope of responsibility within appropriate time frames

Education: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Associates Degree, or equivalent Work Experience and Continuing Education a plus
  • Technical / Vocational training
