Job Posting for Help Desk Technician at SET Solutions
Set Solutions are seeking a motivated Help Desk Technician to join a client of ours on a 6 month contract basis with potential conversion. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Basic scripting knowledge, particularly PowerShell, is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
Assist users in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
Document and track support requests using a ticketing system.
Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates and patches.
Monitor system performance and escalate issues as necessary.
Conduct training sessions for end-users on IT systems and applications.
Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a technical support role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office 365 applications.
Basic understanding of networking concepts.
Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
