Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Sev1Tech is actively seeking a well-qualified Systems Engineer with networking and tactical network architectures, as well as a general understanding of defense logistics. This position will be in support of a new concept of operations working with a team of multi-disciplined professionals from various internal and external organizations to rapidly deliver new voice and data capable technologies to the warfighter. This position is in direct support of the Army’s Tactical Radios (TR) program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
A successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Providing premier support to, and representation of, PM TR in various meetings, working groups, discussions, tests, and field events as needed
- Leveraging knowledge of current fleet radios as well as other commercially available assets that can meet urgent mission requirements and be willing to make appropriate recommendations on the pursued approach
- Leverage systems engineering concepts to ensure minimum viable product goals are achieved and participate in the selection process.
- knowledge of defense logistics and Army supply activities to provide inputs to the logistics team to address
- Working with the Information Assurance team to ensure all Security Classification Guide (SCG) and other required documents are prepared in a timely manner as required
- Briefing senior Government officials on findings, statuses, and recommendations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, RF, and/or Network Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years related systems engineering experience of progressively more complex systems in hardware, networking, and/or electrical design, development, and documentation
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must have recent and relevant experience using Army Tactical Radios, MANET/multi-channel/single channel radio networks as well as commercially available options
- Very strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and cross-functional team leadership and coordination
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently across a range of complex projects
- Must be willing to work at the customer site a minimum of 2-3 days per week
- Must have a minimum of an active Secret Clearance
- Travel: possibly up to 20%
Desired Qualifications
- Military (Army) and/or prior SETA experience is preferred
