Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting medical histories, and performing basic medical procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician; monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Assist physicians and registered nurses in examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Monitor and record patients' progress, symptoms, and vital signs; report any changes or concerns to the physician or registered nurse.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control protocols and following established clinical procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care and ensure effective communication.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, guidelines, and standards to maintain patient confidentiality and legal compliance.
Qualifications:
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of New York.
- BLS Certification
- Proven experience working as an LPN, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
