The Juvenile Officer of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Missouri has an immediate opening in the Cass County Juvenile Center for a Juvenile Officer I-II. The position is a full-time, state-paid position with state-paid benefits. The annual starting pay is $37,286.89 for Juvenile Officer I and $41,768.00 for Juvenile Officer II. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional on-call duties. Responsibilities include case management services and program facilitation for youth subject to the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court and other related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Criminal Justice Administration, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field OR professional employment in a public or private agency involving a substantial amount of time (over 50% time) in the delivery of protective services to families, adults, children, or the aged may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have a clean driving record, and submit to a background check.
