Facilities Planner
The Facilities Planner will work with the Facilities Planning team to plan, execute and finalize new locations according to expansion plans. The Facilities Planner acquires necessary resources and coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to the plan. The Facilities Planner will complete basic maintenance tasks at existing and new locations as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists in set up of all future Northway Academy locations including sourcing, ordering, delivery, and installation.
- Assists with securing contractors for services at new and existing Northway Academy locations including securing estimates as dictated by Capital Expenditure guidelines, monitoring work of contractors and submitting invoices for payment.
- Manages the Maintenance List and completes routine basic maintenance at all new and existing locations as needed.
- Communicates via Outlook calendar the project plan for each day (center location, office day, etc.).
- Coordinates and oversees outside vendors related to design material and installation.
Education and Experience:
- AA, Trade Certification or educational training in trade.
- Three to Five years related construction or trade experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems.
- Proven experience as a maintenance person.
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Basic math skills.
- Good communication ability.
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient use of the following software preferred: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, SmartSheets.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Auto insurance that complies with the state policy concerning minimum car insurance coverage.
- Frequent Travel – 75% of time or more.
Physical Requirements:
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
