What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at Seyi America, Inc.?
A SEYI-America Service Technician must be able to function and add value for SEYI customers in the following ways:
- The ideal candidate will have 5 years ( optional) of direct experience servicing, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, operating and maintaining industrial machinery equipment (metal stamping presses ideally).
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and time management skills.
- Well organized, methodical, and motivated to succeed.
- Good mechanical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Sufficient self-motivation to ensure that required tasks are completed with limited supervision.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under stressful circumstances, tight deadlines, and under pressure to install or repair a machine required to meet a customer’s production requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance on the commissioning, operation, maintenance, trouble shooting, efficient operation and reliability of metal stamping presses and press controls.
- Ability to analyze equipment failure, determine root cause, write detailed reports, and train plant personnel.
- The position requires travel up to 90% of the time, including Mexico and Canada.
- Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to obtain a passport.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
