The Department

The Fixed Income Division is headquartered in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

The Position

The Fixed Income research associate program is designed to recruit talented, industrious undergraduates to support Fidelity’s bond and money market investment process and train them with the foundational skills to launch successful careers in finance and investing.

In this associate role, you will support the work of senior analysts on the Fixed Income research team to: (i) provide in-depth coverage of assigned issuers; (ii) build and maintain financial models; (iii) draft and produce research material; (iv) maintain robust and accurate data; (v) communicate credit opinions; and (vi) generate investment ideas. You will interact regularly with analysts, portfolio managers and traders across a variety of investment mandates. Our investment process is heavily team-based and the successful associate will contribute regularly and effectively to group activities.

The Fixed Income Division’s research associate program utilizes an apprenticeship model and provides the participants with experience in fixed income research and investing, as well as in-depth training in particular sectors. Participation in this program typically lasts up to 4 years, at which time successful associates will be positioned for more senior roles within Fidelity, the asset management industry, or top graduate programs.
