The Role

Are you interested in working to help Modernize a legacy application to an AWS cloud platform? Our team supports a multiplatform legacy application and is working to modernize the various components to AWS. We're looking for a senior database developer that is passionate, inquisitive, and responsible to help us in our deliver the best experience to our customers.

As a database developer and data analyst,

You’ll work on analyzing and designing data structures to support migration of various components of our legacy application to the AWS Platform, as well as developing various reports.

  • You'll have the opportunity to share ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies, and continue to learn.
  • We're looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a collaborative, iterative, and fast-paced environment.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 12 years of hands on experience as a database developer in Oracle
  • Strong data analysis, design, and coding skills
  • Strong RDBMS skills – SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, pipeline functions, views, table partitioning
  • Knowledge of Power BI a must.
  • Knows how to restrict access through roles, user privileges and object privileges
  • Has done performance tuning of stored procedures and queries.
  • Has used SQL Loader to load large files.
  • Has used SQL Plus command.
  • Knowledge of Oracle AQ messaging.
  • Has developed Python scripts for data handling.
  • Comfortable working on Linux servers and writing shell programs.
  • Experience working with team in Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of core java is a plus
  • AWS Cloud experience is a plus
  • 5 years work experience in financial industry.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
  • Good communication skill to both technology folks and business partners.
  • Quick learner, adaptable, has the right attitude to work across teams to find and deploy solutions.
  • Committed to timely and quality deliverables.

The base salary range for this position is $76,000-$144,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
