This job is with Florida Farm Bureau which is a subsidiary of Sothern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company. We currently are looking for a Commercial Underwriter We offer many benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, Extended Illness Leave, Pension and matching 401K and with a starting annual salary of $56,000.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Determine the degree of risk on commercial policies.
- Review loss history of policyholders.
- Evaluate, accept, modify, reject, cancel and/or non-renew applications or existing policies.
- Initiate inspections and field audits.
- Provide underwriting assistance to agency force.
- Handle all duties associated with treaty exception requests.
- Act as the Flood Coordinator.
- Develop and maintain Commercial procedure Manual.
- Attends and participates in special projects.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
