We are looking for a Contracts Manager based in our Fairfax, VA office to add to our growing team. This position can also be remote.
The Contracts Manager provides full-lifecycle support for company contracts and contractual matters for SGI Global, and is responsible for hands-on, day-to-day accountability of the Government contract process including supporting bids and proposals using a variety of contract vehicles. The Contracts Manager position requires knowledge of contracting principles, laws, statutes, Executive Orders, regulations and procedures.
Responsibilities can and will include, but not be limited to:
- The Contracts Manager will report directly to the SGI corporate team and will coordinate on contractual and pricing issues
- Serve as a customer interface for internal and external customers for contract matters
- Executes contracts/subcontracts compliance, teaming agreements, consultant agreements, NDA's, negotiations, and administration.
- Provides responses to cost/pricing bids, proposals and contract negotiations
- Develops, administers, tracks and analyzes contracts and communicates performance and contract compliance to executive leadership, government customers, subcontractors and primes
- Serve as primary point of contact for GSA/GWAC actions and inquiries
- Participates in pricing strategy discussions
- Actively supports, engages in and potentially leads Business Development, Capture and Proposal activities
- Analyzes all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures
- Ensures that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines
- Audits existing contracts and oversees contract modifications
- Analyzes a contract's risk to the business
- Ensures that business goals are accomplished by contract implementation
- Coordinates with the finance department to ensure correct billing and collection of contractual revenues
- Ensures that contracts are in line with corporate goals and objectives
- Leads contract negotiations and manages all changes in and addendums to existing contracts
- Partner with Business Development to source and provide strategic input on government market assessment and contracting opportunities
- Conducts other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of experience in contract preparation and management preferred
- Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) designation preferred
- Must be able to move easily between a hands-on, operations-focused view and a strategic outlook
- Possesses a working knowledge of company policies and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, GSA and government contracting rules and regulations
- Preference for extensive experience working with small businesses
- Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate all types of government contracts
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exhibits strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Possesses excellent persuasion, negotiation, judgment and management skills
- Has working knowledge of financial analytics and profit and loss implications
- Demonstrates superior presentation skills
- Possesses strong leadership skills
- Possesses extensive knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations and codes
