Job Summary:
Demonstrates superior knowledge of all Arkadelphia processes and equipment. Supports & accountable for overall process quality and takt time
.ov ersees all Production employees to ensure activity and job performance meet daily requirements . Conducts training and coaching were appropriate to ensure all work area goals are met by the entire team .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Responsible for ensuring workers use appropriate safe practices.
Responsible for ensuring that SGL standards are adhered to within the production processes.
Responsible for monitoring, revising work order instructions and ensuring production employees follow the work instructions.
Proficiently executes manufacturing processes to a set schedule or plan to meet production/shipping requirements. Define goals, communicate objectives and monitor teams' performance.
Maintains staff by recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities. Accomplishes job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Plans, monitors, and performs annual performance appraisals
Effectively interprets blueprints, engineering sketches, standard task procedures, work order instructions, supplementary instructions, manufacturer's and customer's specifications, Material Data Sheets/SDS, JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and safety rules.
Comprehension of specialized and manual measurement apparatuses in US and Metric scale.
Comprehends and effectively follows verbal instructions.
Operates and trains others to operate specialized equipment in support of production processes.
Responsible for set-up, operation, loading, unloading, and monitoring of advanced specialized equipment to process components to a designed process and takt time.
Good understanding of programmable controllers, robotics, hoists and lifts, hydraulic and pneumatic apparatuses.
Oversees packaging of finished products and ensures proper product and paperwork for shipment.
Responsible for accurate processing records such as production data, schedule, quality, SPC measurements, shipping documents, KPI (Key Performance Indicator) and routine reports.
Use hand tools such as Scissors, knives, snips, pliers, mallets/hammers, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
Responsible for new hire safety training while promoting a safety culture per SGL guidelines and skills training in support of job performance.
Performs and accountable for accurate labor and component quantity moves within SAP/MES production modules.
Supports ESHA initiatives as a member of the site safety committee.
Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching
Skills:
Advanced understanding of quality management systems for control of manufacturing processes.
Confident decision making and ability to act quickly to an “out of tolerance” conditions.
An eye for detail and able to clearly communicate to team members critical processing requirements.
Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting documents such as standard task procedures, work orders, work order instructions, supplementary instructions, manufacturer's and customer's specifications, Material Data Sheets/SDS and safety rules.
Ability to speak effectively before groups, employees, or organization .
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing Supervisory role or similar Leadership manufacturing experience.
Experience using SAP operating, ADP, MS Office, and Payroll Processing systems is a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Able to be medically certified to wear a respirator.
Forklift Operator License is a plus.
OSHA 10/ 30 certification is a plus.
