IMAGING MANAGER
Job Posting for IMAGING MANAGER at SGMC SMITH NORTHVIEW CAMPUS
- Under the direction of the SNH Campus Administrator, the Imaging Manager plans, directs, and supervises all technical and administrative aspects of the Imaging Department. Responsible for the performance level of all staff members in accordance with quality standards and state, local and federal requirements. Responsible for preparation of reports, documents, payroll, surveys, operational budgets, and other data required. Will participate in recruitment, selection, appointment, supervision, promotion, demotion and termination of technical, clerical, and ancillary personnel of the Imaging Department. Assists PACS Administrator with the day to day operational integrity of the RIS/PACS System. Provides direction to Imaging Department Staff to help obtain career goals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education/Certification
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist-ARRT in Radiology.
- Certification in other modalities is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiology or Business related field is required.
- Minimum of three years’ experience with at least one of them being in a supervisory position is desirable.
- Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of personnel at all levels within and external to organization. Ability to develop and grow a competent, caring team.
- Ability to communicate clearly with, and care for, a diverse population of patients/family units of all ages, variety of cultures, etc.
- Flexible in work schedule, assignments and work load.
- Ability to formulate business letters, memos, graphs & charts, document clinical information, etc.
- Ability to develop, implement and interpret the policies and procedures of South Georgia Medical Center, regulatory agencies’ standards and rules, reimbursement rules, etc.
- Strong clinical and leadership skills.
