What are the responsibilities and job description for the MANAGER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT position at SGMC?
- Responsible for coordinating and facilitating quality improvement across the South Georgia Health System to include inpatient and outpatient services. Assists the Medical Staff in the development of quality indicators, facilitates the collection and analysis of data, and serves as a resource person for quality improvement activities across the continuum. Assists with system-wide Peer Review activities. Assists Core Measure Specialist in getting required abstraction completed and submitted within required time frame.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN license in the State of Georgia
- Certification in Healthcare Quality desired.
- Two years recent clinical experience required.
- Previous experience with Quality Improvement required.
- Previous experience with Performance (Core) Measures required.
- Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of personnel at all levels
- of the organization.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Flexible in work schedule, able to prioritize.
- Ability to formulate letters & memos, document abstracts of clinical information, and present complex data.
- Ability to develop, implement and interpret the policies and procedures of South Georgia Medical Center.
- Ability to interpret accrediting and regulatory standards.
- Strong computer skills required; MS Office, Power Point.
