Job Description
The Analytical Scientist will be focused on Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LCMS) and is responsible for performing, developing, qualifying, and validating bioanalytical methods to analyze small and large molecules in different biological matrix.
- Perform sample preparation steps and/or analysis of drugs from biological matrix samples for discovery and development projects within established SOPs
- Develop and optimize methods and troubleshoot efforts on bioanalytical assays
- Perform extractions and validation assessments of calibration curve and quality control samples towards the validation of new and existing chemical entities
- Maintain and troubleshoot various mass spectrometry instrumentation
- Create and write SOPs and study reports
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the department to provide and receive guidance, feedback, and support
- Involvement in training of other Analytical Scientists and Bioanalytical lab support
Qualifications
- B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or relevant field
- 3 years of experience in discovery or GLP bioanalysis of small molecules and/or large molecules
- Experience with analytical instrumentation and design of experimental procedures
- Hands on experience with one or more of the following: Sciex Triple Quadruple Mass Spec with Analyst software, Xcalibur software, Thermo Watson LIMS preferred
