Job Posting for Financial Controller at Sgtec Engineering
Our client is in search of a seasoned Controller to directly report to the CEO. The role entails overseeing and managing all financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls within the company. Responsibilities encompass budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, cost accounting, monthly and yearly closings, tax oversight, compliance reporting, payroll, and employee benefits administration.
Principal Responsibilities:
Maintain the integrity of existing accounting and financial reporting systems, including inventory, internal controls, expenses, and revenue.
Identify and implement necessary financial and operational process improvements.
Oversee primary accounting and HR functions such as monthly closings, quarterly and yearly reports, billing, AR, AP, payroll, and benefits.
Provide oversight and strategic direction to external accounting services.
Manage general ledger reporting to ensure timely and accurate financial statement preparation.
Develop and maintain operating result and cash flow forecasts aligned with business goals.
Establish and maintain business intelligence reporting, utilizing various data sources.
Analyze BI reports to drive top-line and bottom-line improvements.
Manage financial reporting for covenant compliance with the company's bank and annual audits.
Collaborate with CEO and leadership on annual budget adherence and planning.
Own and maintain company Policies & Procedures.
Prepare and submit required documents to Federal and State agencies regarding regulated accounting activities.
Prepare financial and sales data, analysis, and presentations for company meetings.
Stay updated on new accounting rules and regulations affecting the business.
Required Experience:
10 years of progressive experience, including 3 years as Controller, VP of Finance, or CFO.
Expertise in GAAP accounting, cost accounting, and inventory management.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software, with data analytics experience preferred.
Track record of decisive, analytical, and results-oriented leadership.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Comfortable with hands-on leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
