SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Manufacturing Operator - Level 1 is responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment and processes using computerized and manual systems. This position will participate in troubleshooting processes and equipment problems, interact with maintenance personnel, and demonstrate proficient knowledge of the manufacturing process. Manufacturing Operator provides coaching to manufacturing team on safety, GMP and processing operation to ensure safety and compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Actively participate in the creation and revision of batch records, standard operating procedures, protocols, and all other GMP documents
- Resolves problems and makes routine recommendations.
- Adhere to safety standards regarding personal protective equipment which will include, but not limited to, wearing safety footwear, gloves, eye/face shields, and a full face respirator (must pass a pulmonary function test, - respirator physical), as required
- Coordinate training activity of new associates to the area.
- Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor.
- Ability to read job ticket carefully before running machine to ensure it is set up to customer and label needs.
- Input job order information into the computer
- Perform other duties to include but not limited to, clean-up of cut room, pallet prep room, facilities cardboard boxes, working on recycle cardboard, disposal of garbage, operate trash compactor/bailer, daily.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, emails, Excel, Word, or related software.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies

- Technically savvy

- Must be able to work on weekends and extended hours

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
- 2 to 3 years of related Manufacturing Operator experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRNMENTAL REQUIRMENTS OF THE JOB:
Vision Must be able to view, interpret, and process information via a computer monitor for extended periods of time during normal working hours, up to (8) hours per day.
Sitting Frequently at the desk or worktable
Communication Job Requires ability to read, speak, hear, as well as understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Other Repetitive motion with hands, fine manipulation- using fingers to push keys
(keyboard, calculator), pull trigger on the scanning gun, applying labels push buttons on 10-key and telephones. Must reliable transportation. Need to have the ability to lift up to 30lbs on a regular basis and up to 75lbs unassisted.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Much of the work will be in a Production/warehouse environment that fluctuates in varied temperature levels. The ability to work with background noise that varies in volume is required.
