Overview
Water Treatment Plant Technician- Lakeland Location
Monitor the water treatment facility's performance to ensure effective treatment and pumping of the water supply
Primarily outside position
Responsibilities
- Make adjustments to the treatment process or pumping as required, in compliance with all rules, regulations and the facility's standard operating procedures
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive operation and maintenance records
- Collect samples and perform routine physical and chemical analyses on water
- Perform minor maintenance tasks and assist the maintenance staff as necessary, with major or unusual maintenance tasks
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures
- Maintain the highest of ethical and SAFETY standards at all time
Qualifications
- Possess strong math and computer skills
- Understand how to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Valid Driver's License
- Pass Drug Screening, Physical and Background Check
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- On occasion, must have ability to wear a tight fitting, negative-pressure respirator and occlusive On occasion, must have ability to wear a tight fitting, negative-pressure respirator and occlusive chemical protective clothing. Position requires working on uneven work surfaces frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes, shapes and weights including bending, lifting, pushing and pulling of tank truck hoses. May occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and frequently lift 40-50 pounds. Frequently climbs ladders, stairs, etc. May use hand manual and power hand tools hand shovel with exposure to noise and vibration. Periodic to frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals with designated personal protective equipment. Exposure to elements including heat and cold stress and nuisance dust conditions
