What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Sales position at Shaner Careers?
The Director of Sales will provide overall leadership to the Sales Team, be responsible for strategically soliciting and developing new accounts, maintaining excellent rapport with existing accounts and successfully promoting the hotel to the community. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of progressive sales experience, preferably in the hospitality field. Relative franchise experience a plus. We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional individual with excellent sales techniques who will meet or exceed budgeted goals and responsibly manage all aspects of the Sales department in accordance with the standards of Shaner Hotels and franchise (if applicable.)
Minimum of five years of relative experience, preferably in both sales and catering. Relative franchise experience a plus. Solid background in sales and marketing. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Excellent people management and problem resolution skills. Superior guest satisfaction skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in all computer systems including, but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, email, internet, and proprietary systems.
