Experienced Host

Shangri-la is a full-service restaurant and private events venue in the heart of Fair Oaks, serving seasonal, contemporary American fare. With modernist architectural design, fire pits, craft cocktails and bocce ball courts, Shangri-la is a gathering place that feels like a Palm Springs resort. We are looking for seasoned Hosts to add to our dynamic team. This is a multifaceted position that requires a strong work ethic, positive attitude and excellent people skills.

Host primary responsibilities include:

• Creating an exceptional guest experience through warm engagement and positivity
• managing the flow of walk-ins (pacing is crucial) and pre-arranged reservations throughout service
• communicating table seatings to servers
• communicating issues/questions/concerns with Management
• Positive Work Ethic & Attitude
• Extremely hospitality-minded and exhibits an impeccable commitment to service.

Physical Demands

• May be required to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Must have a high level of endurance and mental acuity and toughness to manage conflict and deal successfully with high stress situations.

We are closed on Mon/Tues and most holidays including: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Years Eve/Day and July 4th.
