What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist Tech position at Shannon Health?

Job Description:

Perform functions of pharmacy technician under supervision of pharmacist.
Assists the Pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications to patients. Performs designated technical functions to facilitate pharmacy operations. Certification as a pharmacy technician by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • 6 months as a Pharmacy Technician, preferred
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPHT), required
  • IV Preparation Certification, minimum of 6 months employment at Shannon Medical Center Inpatient and minimum of 960 hours worked
  • Valid Texas Drivers License may be required for some positions
