Job Description
Job purpose
To provide legendary customer service of SPA robotic systems in support of our customer expectations and SPA Corporate Mission and Goals.
Complete customer support of SPA equipment both at SPA and at customer sites across North America.
Duties and responsibilities
- Operate SPA 24-hour Hotline support
- SPA daytime phone support
- Robot preventative maintenance
- SPA system preventative maintenance
- Robot path programming
- Robot mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
- SPA system mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
- Robot electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- SPA system electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Robot software troubleshooting
- SPA system software troubleshooting
- Customer training
- Maintaining excellent customer relations
- Travel across North America
Working conditions
Manufacturing setting where there are low to moderate noise levels, dust and smoke. Duties may require the occasional use of/contact with/exposure to various hazardous materials (such as, but not limited to grease, oils, lubricants, paint, thinner, parts cleaner, etc.). Employees should have basic awareness of hazardous materials cautions. Those directly using the materials must have specific knowledge of material in use.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee periodically is required to sit. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and depth perception. May at times be required to bend, twist and work under machinery or at heights using lift equipment and or ladders.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- General mechanical knowledge
- General electrical knowledge
- Programming and/or troubleshooting knowledge of Fanuc robots (another robot brand knowledge is a plus)
- Computer skills including MS Office and basic DOS commands
- “Whatever it takes” type of attitude
