Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Software Developer whose duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in writing automated tests and validation procedures and working with customers or other internal departments on software system design and maintenance.
To be successful in this role, a candidate will need a solid grasp of programming languages, the software development life cycle, and the ability to articulate problems and proposed solutions.
This is currently not a remote position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Writing software and reviewing team member’s code
- Modifying software to fix errors, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces
- Writing automated tests or testing procedures
- Consulting with departments or customers on project status and proposals
- Working with business analysts to determine system requirements and solutions
- Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- 5-10 years of development experience
- Solid understanding of the C# language
- Experience building business applications as part of a team
- Preference for teamwork over individual accomplishments
Helpful Knowledge and Skills:
- Azure application management
- TypeScript and React knowledge
- Experience working on more than one team, more than one kind of architecture
- API, Database, & UX Design
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance
- Preference for people over PCs
- Interest in developing an architecture, culture, workflow, and other manners of team improvement over time
