JOB TITLE: Design Project Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Engineering

JOB SUMMARY:

The Design Project Coordinator is a temporary position responsible for organizing and coordinating the completion of necessary information for various aspects of our network rebuild and rebuild related projects. Duties will include completion of SPANS pole attachment applications and associated documentation, GPON turn-ons, Pole transfers documentation and tracking, Coordination of Ohio Utility Protection Services (OUPS) tickets, Develop and verify documentation for node splits and other duties as assigned. The position will maintain and provide various reports related to projects as requested by management.

The Design Project Coordinator reports directly to the Manager, Network Design.

There are no direct reports to the Design Project Coordinator position.

This position interfaces with the following key personnel within the Company as well as outside sources: Design Staff; Other Internal Teams, Outside Engineering Firms; Utilities, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Design Project Coordinator is accountable for:

• Coordination and completion of pole attachment applications through SPANS including gathering and submitting all associated documentation;
• GPON turn-ons which include address verifications, documentation and release of GPON areas to Business Operations as all build work and testing is completed;
• Reviewing all pole transfer requests for our involvement and distribute information to the appropriate internal teams;
• Review OUPS tickets and identify any conflicts with our plant. Also, review and document competitive build information;
• Develop and verify addressing and plant documentation for Node Splits;
• Ensuring project information and documentation is completed and compiled within prescribed timeframes;
• Coordinate with outside Engineering firms as necessary to provide for timely project coordination;
• Providing project support with both Design staff and field crews after release of a project;
• Supplying all necessary reports on a timely basis, or as requested;
• Ensure the security of proprietary company information such as network maps and documentation at all times;
• Providing and displaying a positive outlook and a willingness to assist others, along with possessing and displaying a high level of cooperation and teamwork;

• Performing any other departmental duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent – Required
• Associate Degree – Preferred
• One to two years of related work experience – Preferred
• Previous experience with Billing System applications – Preferred
• Previous experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel - Required

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Design Project Coordinator is a full-time temporary, non-exempt position working 40 hours per week, and overtime as needed and assigned by the supervisor
• This position will be a hybrid remote work position reporting to 2700 Oregon Rd., Northwood, OH 43619
• This position may occasionally drive for company business in performance of assigned duties. This position will be subject to periodic records checks and will be required to supply written approval upon request.
