Production Manager

JOB OVERVIEW:

Oversee manufacturing of carbonated soft drinks over a multi-shift, multi-lingual operation. Manage operation through subordinate managers in production, quality, warehousing, maintenance, and production control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for providing production leadership to hourly employees on shift in various areas of the production process.

2. Directly manages all daily activities and long term objectives of their department, in conjunction with managers across shifts or departments.

3. Responsible for plant and company goals by providing proactive, efficient, and reliable leadership for one to three shifts, in a seven day working environment.

4. Independently performs all assignments after being given general instructions as to the results expected.

5. Takes the lead and initiates resolution of technical, unusual or complex problems or issues.

6. Responsibility may extend across more than one location/area, shift or building.

7. Proposes plans and executes projects to eliminate the root cause of manufacturing problems.

8. Must be able to coach and influence employees at all levels of the organization.

9. Responsible for assisting the facilities in instilling the “Best Manufacturing Practices”.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports and other documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or company representatives. Ability to effectively present information to management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Field positions will be exposed to various unfamiliar conditions where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn and which may include, but are not limited to: manufacturing and warehouse plants, and other venues as directed by supervisor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but increases significantly in warehouse and manufacturing plants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· College degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, engineering and/or equivalent. Master’s degree is preferred.

· Food processing, liquid filling/bottling, or consumer goods manufacturing/packaging industry experience a plus.

· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft business applications and various reporting software.

· Able to collaborate and work in a team based environment.

· Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills

· Solid business acumen, analytical, and problem-thinking skills

· Must be 18 years or older.

· Favorable background and drug exam.

· Meet the physical requirements of the position.

· Ability and willingness to work a flexible full time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

· Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in organizational service areas, as required by duties.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
