Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking to hire and train Sew-on Operator who will play an important role in the manufacture and distribution of a variety of flooring solutions for our residential and commercial customers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, interested in learning various skills, and who enjoy problem solving.
We are currently looking to fill 2nd shift openings. No prior manufacturing experience is necessary. Training is provided for all entry-level roles.

Essential Duties:
Ensure proper operation of primary and back-up sewing machine at the beginning of each shift
Keep sewing machines clean and supplied with appropriate thread
In the event of a sewing machine break-down, notify Maintenance
Doff roll from staging conveyor into cradle
Operate folder and unroll the roll onto sew-on conveyor
Sew carpet/leaders together for continuous dyeing using the sewing machine
Run carpet/leader into J-box using the sew-on console
Inspect the carpet for defects as it is run in, note any findings on the quality card
Load J-box in the order printed on the CFCS sheet
Assist in keeping work areas in a clean, orderly manner
Work Shift
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM

Salary : $31,200 - $39,500
