Supply Room Clerk
Position Overview
POSITION OBJECTIVE : To order and issue parts and supplies as needed to departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, & responsibility) :
1. Contact vendors to order parts and materials as needed.
2. File and manage all receipts of purchase.
3. Stock inventory in appropriate locations.
4. Update inventory levels on computer as items are received.
5. Adjust inventory levels on computer and charging departments when supplies and parts are issued.
6. Perform periodic physical inventories.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort,
manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, & responsibility)
1. Perform general housekeeping in the supply area.
2. Any other related tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
3. Serve on committees as needed.
4. Operate a lift truck to pick up shipments in shipping / receiving area.
5. Correct Match exceptions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
1. Must be able to sit and stand intermittently for 8-12 hours per day.
2. Must be able to operate a lift truck (eye test required).
3. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
4. Ability to withstand exposure to changes in temperature and humidity.
5. Must be able to work in small areas using upper and lower body in twisting, bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching positions daily.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
1. Basic computer skills including internet use and Microsoft Office Suite, Google docs, and PeopleSoft.
2. Must have clerical skills such as filing and keyboarding.
3. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
4. Must be able to work required overtime.
5. Must be able to work in confined spaces.
6. Ability to work from written instructions or diagrams.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :
On the job training.
2. Lift truck training.
3. Must have all OSHA, SAFE, SMS, SES, and plant specific training.
4. Computer training on Peoplesoft, and email.
TOOL, EQUIPMENT, & MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS :
1. Office equipment such as computer & phone
2. All PPE listed on JHA
SAFETY & SECURITY REQUIREMENTS :
1. Must comply with all required OSHA, SAFE, and plant specific safety rules and regulations.

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
