Shawmut Services LLC (Shawmut) is seeking multiple highly motivated candidates for the role of Project Director for a door-to-door canvassing program in California that is focused on engaging voters throughout the summer and fall. The Project Director will work directly with Shawmut leadership to develop and implement an innovative, effective plan to engage voters in the Central Valley. The Project Director will directly manage and oversee all relevant program staff, including Regional Organizing Directors, Organizers, Canvassers, Operations, and Data staff.
This Project Director role is a full-time, salaried position and includes a generous monthly healthcare stipend for the full term of employment with Shawmut, through November 15, 2022. This project is based in California’s Central Valley, and the Project Director will be required to work in a physical office. She/he/they must be true self-starters and problem solvers, and able to effectively work with and manage a variety of different personalities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and performance of the California canvassing program, with a focus on fulfilling our voter outreach goals and objectives;
- Day-to-day management of other members of the project team, including data, operations, organizing, recruitment, and training staff;
- Oversight of recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes;
- Along with Shawmut leadership, maintain close communication and engagement with key stakeholders;
- Ensure reporting and accountability protocols are followed to provide up-to-date, actionable data and information to leadership; and,
- Other duties as assigned.
This position is not remote, and requires daily travel to an office location.
