Boston Office based team is currently supporting several Government, Life Science and Higher Education projects.

Responsibilities
We are looking for Assistant Estimators to support our Estimating team at the Headquaters office! At Shawmut we will provide you specialized training and development tools that supports you to be your best at running projects, collaborating with clients and developing professionally. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Initiates and schedules pre-construction kick-off meeting
- Identifies areas of risk and profitability to focus project team decision making
- Drawing/document review and develop bid list and invitation to bid process.
- Work collaboratively with outside parties (I.e. the design team, etc.) to accomplish client goals
- Do quantity takeoffs and assign labor durations to activities
- Price multiple projects timely, keeping updated logs of status and report out
- Build relationships outside of the organization to develop potential opportunities for acquiring new work
- Follow up on priced opportunities and work with senior management to win work
Qualifications
- 2 years experience in construction estimating, preferably with a general construction company
- Experience with Bluebeam, On-screen Takeoff, Timberline or other estimating software a plus
- Knowledge of all trades: scope, time frames/field execution, typical missed scope/exposures
- Experience with out of the ground, renovation, healthcare, academic, life sciences and high end corporate tenant interiors a plus
