Responsibilities
We are looking for a Virtual Design Construction Coordinator to join our Engineering Services Department. Do you enjoy working with multiple projects teams? Do you appreciate the exquisite quality of the pre-construction process and the great end product?
The purpose of this role is to provide project support to the Virtual Design and Construction Manager on building information models (BIM). The VDC Coordinator is responsible for creating building information models (BIMs) to be used in pre-construction.
- Performing architectural, structural and MEP 2D/3D conversions
- Manage and work with project teams developing and coordinating BIM
- Develops photorealistic renderings and walk-throughs directly from building models
- Develops relationships with project teams and individuals to strengthen BIM’s presence at Shawmut
- Develop and facilitate BIM focused trainings to modeling staff and other Shawmut personnel
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years in Construction or Design industry
- Education: minimum Bachelor’s degree in architecture or construction related field or equivalent
- Experience with AutoCad, Autodesk Revit Architecture and MEP or other Construction Software
- Experience with VDC or BIM using Revit is desirable
