What we’re looking for:
SHAZAM is looking for a Computer Operator to join our team. In this position, you’ll work closely with team members in your department performing the day to day customer service and processing activities for the data center.
What you'll do:

Process bank databases, reject re-entry and balancing of proof items, generation and transmission of electronic cash letters, and generation of image statements.

Notify the Data Center Manager of systems/software not functioning within normal operation parameters.

Perform assigned Service Requests for owned hardware and software.

Be a back-up for statement rendering services and assist as needed.

Perform procedures and complete appropriate department records in accordance with departmental goals, policies, and standards.

Respond to customer complaints and escalate issues to the Data Center Manager as needed.

Respond to inquiries from operational external/internal auditors and bank regulatory entities. Consult with more senior team members if necessary.

Maintain regular and consistent attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.
What you need:

Knowledge of banking system operations is helpful.

Persons filling this position must have the ability to review documentation and input, access and retrieve information to and from a computer for hours at a time.

Persons filling this position must have the ability to communicate via the telephone, in person and through correspondence with users, fellow employees and managers, especially in critical time certain situations when there are system problems impacting customers.

Ability to think independently and provide self and group direction, solve various problems and make informed, rational decisions.

Must have excellent conflict resolution skills and the ability to lead and participate as a team leader or team member in a team's conflict resolution and consensus building process, as well as assisting in maintaining positive team morale and team cohesion.

Ability to work in an environment that often has miscellaneous cubicle noise (ex: may hear others’ phones, conversations, radios, etc.), fast pace, high expectations, and frequent interruptions.
