SHEDCRAFT is a small family-owned shed building business located in Hudson, NC. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, we are in a prime location to serve most of Western North Carolina. We build high quality custom sheds on-site where shed dealers can't deliver.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Lead Shed Builder at SHEDCRAFT in Hudson, NC. As a Lead Shed Builder, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of sheds, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and delivering excellent customer service. You will work closely with the team to plan and execute shed construction projects, manage timelines and resources, and ensure that all projects are completed to meet or exceed customer expectations. Must be willing to work weekends during initial training (Training time depends on level of experience). Willing to work some Saturday's (majority of work will be Monday-Friday). Commitment to scheduled builds on the calendar is a must. Wears provided SHEDCRAFT shirt and hat while working.
- Paid bi-weekly. This is an hourly position that starts at $25/hr, with ability to make $31/hr
- Employee will receive $1 raise for every skill they become fully proficient in 1) tools/cuts, 2) shed prep, 3) leveling/foundation framing, 4) wall framing/siding, 5) roofing, and 6) trim)
- Shed Preparation (Typically 6hrs of labor one day a week leading up to the build) Located in Hudson, NC. Painting wall siding. Building trusses. On-Site Building. Setting up tools, and carrying lumber from trailer to job site.
- Leveling shed foundation, framing walls, roofing, and trim.
- Lunch during build days are covered up to $15, and employees will travel in the company vehicle to the job-site.
- Pay: $25-$31/hr
- 25 - 40 per week
- On-the-job training
- Tools provided
- Schedule: 8-10 hour shift. Day starts at 8am.

Qualifications
- The ideal candidate is someone who has a high level of integrity, character, and strong work ethic
- A moderate to high level of building/construction/carpentry experience is required
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be willing to learn skills necessary for the job
- Employees are required to lift heavy objects, work outdoors, and use power tools
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials
- Must be willing to work weekends and after 5pm occasionally during the week, during initial training.
- Valid driver's license
Preferred qualifications:
- Contractor's license preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Customer service experience
