Job Summary
Work includes greeting customers and visitors and directing them to the proper person for assistance. Performs clerical duties including answering telephones and processing incoming mail. This position provides back-up support for both the judicial and recording departments of the Probate Judge's office.
Qualifications and Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year experience performing receptionist or clerical duties involving responsible public contact including the use of personal computers.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel or similar spreadsheet software programs.
- Two years word processing experience.

Work is performed in an office environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is essentially sedentary in nature with occasional walking, standing, bending and carrying items under 25 pounds (i.e., books, papers, small parts).

EXAMINATIONS: A practical skills test for typing and/or data entry will be given for this position. Applicants are required to score a minimum of 70% on any and all examinations given.
