What is the purpose of this job?
The Shell Carson Distribution Facility and the Shell Mormon Island Marine Terminal handle refined products (gasoline, distillates, ethanol, chemicals) for distribution to Shell customers and third parties. Facilities receive products via vessels, pipelines, rail cars and trucks while products are discharged via vessels, pipelines and truck racks. Product Handlers are responsible for the safe execution of all operational duties related to the receipt, storage and distribution of its products.
What duties and activities does this role perform?
Maintaining compliance with company procedures and government regulations related to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environmental) and various agency permits.
Providing general operation and housekeeping in support of terminal assets to ensure a safe, secure and environmentally sound operation.
Handling, receiving, transferring, shipping and storing of petroleum products via vessels, pipelines, rail cars and trucks.
Demonstrating knowledge of computer skills, conducting quality assurance sampling.
Demonstrating accountability for compliance with company and regulatory procedures in the execution of the job such as: Compliance with the HSE Control Framework, Compliance with the Global Terminal Operations Manual.
Familiarity with compliance environmental manuals such as the Facility Response Plan and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plans.
Product Handlers are responsible for all operational duties related to the receipt, storage and distribution of its products.
The terminal is operated 24/7, when necessary, overtime might be required by the business.
Salary : $30,500 - $38,700
