Housekeeper / Hotel Guest Room Attendant (FT Seasonal)

The Shelter Harbor Inn is actively searching for efficient, detailed, and self-motivated Housekeeper / Guest Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team.

Expected regular shifts begin 8-9am and end 2-5pm. Potential for position to become year round.

The Shelter Harbor Inn, is a New England retreat in the Shelter Harbor community of Westerly, RI. Built in 1800, and completely revamped in 2019, The Shelter Harbor Inn is your home away from home. Situated on over three acres of greenery, the 23-room inn features upscale amenities including an on-site restaurant with multiple dining options serving fresh New American cuisine, a spa, and various seasonal activities.

Job Summary:

Report to supervisor for daily tasks and room assignment. Collect any information regarding guest requests, to-do items, and an accurate list of check-ins and outs for the day.

· Clean all guestrooms to the satisfaction of the housekeeping supervisor and in accordance with the standards and policies of the company.

· Keep cart inventory stocked and organized at all times. Maintain Laundry area and storage closets, keeping them cleaned and organized at all times.

· Ensure all guest room floors, hallways, and public areas are cleaned.

· Adhere to all Safety and Security policies and procedures outlined by the housekeeping department and the company.

Required Experience:

· 1 year cleaning experience

· Neat and professional appearance

· Positive, team player attitude

· Self-motivated individual

· Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days (i.e. town festivals).

· May be subject to successful completion of background and/or DMV check.
