SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE:
The Property Manager must possess the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with residents, subordinates, supervisors, vendors and contractors to insure the efficient and profitable operation of the apartment community and established company philosophies, policies and procedures. The Property Manager must have a working knowledge of all financial aspects of apartment management, bookkeeping and cost control, physical areas (i.e. maintenance, landscaping and contract negotiations), local and state laws pertaining to apartment management, marketing, leasing and leasing training.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Property Manager's primary job responsibility is everything related to the property including but not limited to marketing, cost control, and to organize, direct and control day to day operations of the apartment community by providing leadership, motivation and consistent direction to the on-site staff and to over-see the performance of the on-site staff and the maintenance of the physical property. In addition, the Property Manager must be a good role model by demonstrating loyalty, honesty, moral integrity and ethical conduct. The Property Manager must be in constant contact with and working as a team member with the Property Administrator. To enhance income and control expenses, the Property Manager must adhere to all collection policies for resident, vendor and miscellaneous payments, obtain required approvals and adhere to all policies and procedures set forth.
