Position for hire: MEP Technician
This job is for motivated individuals who are experienced in MEP trades. This position will assist the foreman. The majority of installations will pertain to single and double-wide manufactured homes. Currently, we have a high volume of work in and around Eastern NC.
Current Responsibilities
· Driving to and from job-sites
· Assist with loading/unloading materials needed for the day
· Instillation of water and drainage lines, air condensing units and ducting, and electrical conduit services and feeders on MHUs
· Ensuring work is within state/local building codes
· Clean up excess material and debris at job site during and after completion of work
· Ability to rough in an MHU from start to finish with an apprentice under your supervision
· Provide a sound customer service experience whenever in contact with a homeowner
· Ability to rough in one or more of the MEP trades on a ground up site built new construction home with limited supervision
Requirements and Qualifications
- 1.5 years of experience in related construction fields
- Be punctual, reliable, and communicative
- Management capabilities to plan and schedule ahead
- Comfortable with being in confined spaces and underneath manufactured homes
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Hold one’s self to a quality work standard
- Comfortable with driving a company vehicle
- Comfortable with working relatively long hours (8-10 hour days)
Compensation
· $25 per hour
