The Youth First Care Program embeds mental health therapists into Prince George’s County Schools. Because our team works within the schools and services are free of charge to our clients, we can address many of the common barriers to therapy like transportation and cost.
What to expect.
You will lead the services provided by Sheppard Pratt’s Youth First Care Program. This includes overseeing operations, providing consultation to team members, and coordinating key treatment services.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that the program’s mission and its services are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Providing clinical supervision to graduate licensed staff and interns.
- Implementing program budgets and monitoring expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.

What we need from you.
- Must hold one of the following Maryland licensures:
- Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C)
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
- Licensed Psychologist (LP)
- Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist (LCPAT)
- Must hold an Approved Clinical Supervisor Credential (ACS) from the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
- Experience in the management of moderate to high-risk youth clients.
- Experience providing mental health services in a school setting that includes a diverse student population.
