Job Description: Registered Nurse - Crisis Stabilization
Shift/Hours/Holiday/Weekend Requirement:
- Day/Evening shift: Part Time, 20 hrs- 7:00am - 3:30pm & 3:00 pm - 11:30pm, rotating
- Day/Evening shift: Full Time, 7:00am - 3:30pm & 3:00 pm - 11:30pm, rotating
- Night shift: Full Time, 11:00p-7:30am
- Every other weekend OR employees can agree to work 16-32 hours every weekend (from Friday Night at 11pm through Monday at 7am) for a 6-month period. There are 3 scheduling options for the weekend commitment.
- Employees will be paid between 4-8 additional hours on top of base rate per week if they choose the weekend bonus program option.
Responsibilities:
- Focused crisis intervention model for the treatment of major mental illnesses where the average length of stay is less than 5 days.
- Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
- Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
- Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
- Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
- Document and report patient progress to treatment team.

- Patient population: Adult crisis stabilization
- Common Diagnoses: Bipolar and schizoaffective disorders
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:7
- Average # of Admits: 1-2 per day
Job Requirements:
- License: MD RN License
- Certification: AHA approved Basic Life Support/CPR certification
- Experience: New Grads Accepted!
- Education: Associate degree
