Apartment Leasing Agent

Join our team at Maple Place Apartments in Southfield, Michigan, as a Full Time Leasing Agent. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the overall operation of our 250 plus unit community featuring garden apartments and luxury townhomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage communications serving as liaison between the residents and management
• Create marketing campaigns online and in the community including designing creative ads, posting on social media, and reaching out to local businesses
• Perform showing of available apartments to prospective clients
• Follow up with prospects and applicants
• Assist leasing candidates through the application process
• Close sales, complete lease documents, and deal with any move-in issues
• Inspect apartments to ensure resident satisfaction
• Research and generate reports on competing properties
• Manage resident issues and concerns while building strong customer relationships
• Organize resident events
• Inspect the property regularly to ensure cleanliness and aesthetic appeal
• Achieve lease closing ratio goals as established by Property Manager
• Maintain accurate leasing records and reports
• Assist the Property Manager on projects as needed
• Participate in company meetings and training as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 2 years of property management experience in leasing
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance
• Must have reliable transportation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Past leasing experience and knowledge of Yardi is a plus
• Strong marketing skills and experience with Rent Cafe is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
