Accounting and Finance majors, the Internal Auditor position is an ideal entry-point into Sherwin-Williams. Our auditors play a critical role in helping us reach our financial and operational goals by ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulations within our Stores. Position Description
Internal Field Auditors perform audits of our North American retail operations. Audits include analytical reviews of financial and non-financial information as well as testing of controls for every aspect of store operations. Relocation assistance is provided to our Internal Auditors who are placed in 1 of these 9 locations: Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, or Seattle, where they are responsible for independently auditing stores across surrounding locations.
Target Start Date: Summer 2024
In addition to analytical reviews and testing of controls, you will be responsible for the following:
- Analyzing existing processes and providing suggestions to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls
- Developing a firm understanding of the stores, including policies and procedures.
- Reporting audit findings to appropriate personnel and working with management to provide value-added guidance
- Coaching store personnel on following Sherwin-Williams policies and procedures
- Our strong and all-encompassing training program provides you with the knowledge, skills and network you need to succeed within the role
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
- By the start date of the program, completed a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a finance related degree or an MBA with a financial/accounting concentration
- Must be willing to relocate outside of the state as well as be willing to travel
- Must be willing to travel at least 50% of the time
- Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.8
- Must have a valid driver's license.

- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- An analytical, solutions-oriented mindset
- The ability to work with minimal supervision
- The desire to learn and advance
- Additional language abilities preferred
