CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
1. This position is accountable for managing a profile of large pharmaceutical customers in order to maintain and increase sales/growth and market share for the P&M Division. This position is accountable for sourcing and developing relationships with high-value potential pharmaceutical customers that lead to sales, margin, market share and profit growth throughout the Key Accounts business segment. Position will serve as the single point of contact and will manage customer relationships, procurement, and coordinate pricing across Regions/Sales Areas. Ultimately, the goal of this position is to make Sherwin-Williams the single supplier for the national key pharmaceutical accounts.
2. Will work with the BDR Sales Director and other divisional stakeholders to ensure that multiple customer locations receive the same level of service program offerings. The Key Account Manager must be able to effectively utilize resources, marketing technical, and work with PSG National Accounts to meet customer expectations and achieve long-term sales/market growth. Will effectively interface with work with finance, R&D, sales, operations and supply chain to meet customer's needs.
3. Will manage between $10MM-$25MM of assigned large customers with a market potential of $50MM.

- Develop and lead execution of Key Account Strategy
- P&L responsibility and budget management
ADDITIONAL DIMENSIONS:
- P&L Responsibility for assigned accounts.
- Implement marketing programs for the assigned accounts and related business.
- Develop strategies to increase market share nationally.
- The go-to person for these Regional or Divisional customers, single point of contact.
- Negotiating contractual agreements with the assigned accounts.
- Development and maintaining of customer communications, number of facilities and locations.
- Development and maintenance of customer pricing and customer coating specifications.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- High School or some college
Preferred:
- Bachelors in Business
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Ability to work with all levels of the P&M Sales Organization
- Ability to work with PSG National Accounts
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of multiple corrosion prevention solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to effectively communicate and influence specifiers and asset owners.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles (12-24 months)
- Proficient with Saleforce.com or equivalent CRM platform
Preferred:
- 3 years of business-to-business sales experience in the coatings industry
- NACE or SSPC certified or other industry certifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
- Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
- May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
- May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
- Work surfaces may include concrete.
- Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as required.
- Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
- Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.
