Major Tasks Performed:
- Coach, train, discipline, motivate and manage hourly warehouse employees.
- Promote and maintain positive employee relations and a total quality-working environment with employees.
- Act as a positive liaison between employees and management.
- Maintain Housekeeping Excellence standards.
- Meet and/or exceed departmental goals.
- Manage electronic timecards for employees for production and/or payroll.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals with each employee.
- Support site safety programs, implement new safety procedures and recommend safety improvements. Assure safety compliance to create and maintain a safe work environment for employees.
- Must be familiar with equipment and operating procedures in order to make educated judgment decisions and recognize defective equipment or substandard product and utilize appropriate resources to resolve.
- Assure all team members are properly trained in critical areas of safety, housekeeping, time management, quality standards and continuous improvement. Transition new team members into the team quickly and efficiently upon assignment.
- Demonstrate leadership that is consistent with Company vision, mission and values.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Contributes to achievement of plant safety goals.
- Contributes greatly to improvement and maintenance of warehouse housekeeping standards.
- Ensuring smooth flow of incoming and outgoing raw materials and finished goods.
- Maintaining accurate shipping/receiving documentation.
- Maintaining ISO 9001 and 14001 certification.
- Accurate finished goods counts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment visa status
- Must have a four year Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or four (4) years of work experience
- One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment; or have completed the Global Supply Chain Accelerated Development Program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, and/or Access) and general computer skills
- Must be able to with or without reasonable accommodations, to operate a hand truck, forklift, and/or material handling equipment
- Hands on technical/troubleshooting experience
- An understanding of the technical aspects of the distribution/order-filling process
- Past supervisory/leadership experience is preferred
- Experience with continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing or Transactional Lean, etc. is preferred
- Experience with timekeeping and/or production control systems is preferred
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, Etc.) is preferred
- Flexible to alternate shift patterns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong work ethic and high energy level

11pm - 7am Monday - Friday
