Shotblast Operator - 1st Shift

Description

Performs a variety of manual labor and assists with the production and warehousing processes, which may include loading and unloading materials, moving parts and equipment, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and providing routine assistance and support.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsibilities may include lifting and loading items, driving a forklift, cleaning and maintaining equipment and parts, and performing other general tasks.
• Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations; may require the employee to wear safety equipment or gear.
• Communicates with production, maintenance, quality control, and other departments to maintain a safe and effective environment and to ensure quality products.
• May operate various equipment and machinery under direct supervision or as certified or trained.
• Checks all equipment to ensure proper operation and maintains shotblast area.
• Wears protective gear when entering shotblast confined space to operate equipment and using hand-held shotblast equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
• Must be willing to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must have access to reliable transportation
• Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
