Our client, a leading architectural & engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Process Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Mechanical Process Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, evaluating efficient process systems and equipment. 

Positions available in the following markets: Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities:
  • Design and model piping systems using 3D software, with preference given to experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Generate piping isometrics, orthographics, and support details using 3D and 2D software.
  • Layout process equipment and create Piping Specifications.
  • Manage projects and a team, ensuring successful project completion within budget and schedule.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects, including reviewing contractor/vendor submittals and ensuring adherence to Contract Documents and industry standards.
  • Assist in the development and updates of project design standards and guidelines.
  • Participate in the permitting process of projects, including meeting with clients, contractors, and reviewing agency personnel.
  • Mentor and supervise staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Assist with business development pursuits, including proposal preparation and participation in interviews.
  • Interact with clients and management to provide updates on project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Lead the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred (not required).
  • 8 years of experience in mechanical process engineering.
  • Experience in the following industries: Distribution, Food Processing, Medical, & Industrial Solutions.
  • EIT or PE License preferred.
  • Proficiency with relevant software such as RevitAutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Strong ability to work well within a team environment, with a positive attitude, multi-tasking skills, and self-motivation.
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
