Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Life Skills Trainer to support individuals with creating a more successful path in enhancing their daily living skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth and promoting their resilience.
Duties:
- Provide direct mentorship and support to youth
- Assist in implementing individualized case plans
- Support behavioral health needs and implement behavior intervention strategies
- Facilitate social skills development and community integration
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of childcare principles and practices
- Background in behavioral health or social work
- Direct support experience in a similar setting
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with individuals and team members
- Familiarity with special education principles is a plus
