The Chief Operating Officer or COO will support the executive team in overseeing our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. The ideal candidate would be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of business. The COO role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The ideal candidate will have the ability to maintain control of diverse business operations, ever-changing directives, and profitability of the company. Our Chief Operating Officer would be an experienced and efficient leader with proven experience in eCommerce or building corporate structure.
The Chief Operating Officer should display excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics. They must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with and listen to the needs of employees and department heads to be able to develop strategies that benefit the entire team.

Hours: Monday: Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
Meets with and reports to the CEO about the company’s daily operation, as well as about the CEO’s plans for any upcoming adjustments or developments to business operations strategy, or other company goals and objectives
Works with the CEO to achieve aggressive company growth and business success
Leads weekly staff meetings and creates operational flow weekly, monthly and quarterly
Represents the heir apparent for the CEO and may stand in for the CEO if this senior executive is out of the office or otherwise engaged. (The COO might also assist in training and guiding a CEO who is new to the organization and help this person get used to the business’s operations and strategy.)
Maintains and directs the daily operations of the business, including coordinating with human resources, legal, sales, marketing, manufacturing, accounting, IT and other departments
Enforce current and review policies regularly to ensure they promote company culture and vision as it expands (Develops and maintains a thriving work culture)
Coaches and develops the team to ensure they are delivering against key business metrics
Regularly reviews for opportunity, and develops and executes plans to improve quality, efficiency and productivity, reduce costs, increase profits, or improve control measures
Works collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls and procedures that improve the overall efficiency of the company and ensure client satisfaction
Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company
Manages the overall strategy, purpose, and vision of the entire Human Resources function: benefits, payroll, 401k, recruitment, learning and development, culture, performance management, and succession planning
Motivates and leads a high-performance management team through building departmental processes and procedures with consistent high level performance
Attracts, recruits, and retains required members of the executive & management team not currently in place
Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
Represents the company with all clients, investors, and business partners
Responsible for revenue key performance indicators for the entire company
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field required
Operations Management (Minimum 5 Years, Minimum 40-50 employees)
Proven Experience as a Senior Executive (Minimum 3 Years, Minimum 40-50 employees)

Process and Policy improvement & development
KPI development & management
Business Forecasting
Marketing and business development
Proven track record of driving best practices, improving productivity and profitability throughout operations with leading-edge management practices, innovative use of technology, cost reduction strategies and high-quality investment decisions
Proven track record of developing and successfully implementing organizational strategy & vision
Familiarity with EOS systems OR a proven track record of building, implementing, and optimizing organizational structure
Is a mentor for company managers and prioritizes their development as part of how they improve and maintain company operations
Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved
Demonstrates a willingness to work with abstract instructions and vague outlines
In-depth understanding of the eCommerce or B2B sales industry including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Preferred Skills:
MBA strongly preferred
Lean Six-Sigma Certified
APICS Certified Supply Chain
Professional (CSCP) and/or Certified in Planning & Inventory Management (CPIM)
Proven experience running & building B2B programs
Experience running an 8 figure or more eCommerce company
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Regularly operates office equipment, such as laptops, printers, and calculators
Lifts objects of five to twenty pounds regularly
May have to sit for prolonged periods, but will often be on their feet for long periods of time
May spend extended hours outdoors/without A/C due to shipping/receiving doors
May spend extended hours in front of a computer screen
Frequently required to communicate with others to exchange information
Air-conditioned office, productive atmosphere, and semi-open floor plan
