Principal Responsibilities
The Program Manager / Coordinator, Physician Practice Operations will:
- Manages department Payroll for physicians and staff ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This includes special payroll requests. Creates and provides physician and APP timecards.
- Provides support to the Medical Staff Meetings including minutes and meeting organization.
- Responsible for the coordination of Provider Insurance Credentialing, maintaining a database providing information on each provider’s credentialing status. Works with other departments to ensure access to information. Provide insurance credentialing back-up coverage to Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator.
- In conjunction with the Director develops checklists coordinating with other departmental personnel to ensure comprehensive onboarding and orientation of new providers. Ensures all components are fulfilled during onboarding, coordinating with other staff as necessary.
- Oversee departmental purchasing and invoice processing functions.
- Provides training to new administrative coordinators and other staff as required or requested in Cerner and Office operations.
- Provides back-up supervision to the ACs in the absence of the Associate Director.
- In conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer develops physician call schedules—coordinates weekend call with the answering service.
- Provides support and coordination for the Physician Practice Council.
- Plans, coordinates, and evaluates the training and education needs administrative staff regarding the Cerner System, updating programs to meet the changing requirements related to scheduling and registration
- Identifies needs for related educational materials, develops and prepares content adding necessary graphics support and oversees the dissemination of educational packages and/or materials.
- Coordinates departmental meetings on behalf of the director.
- Takes on special projects as requested by the Director.
- Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
Reporting Relationships
- Reports directly to the Director, Physician Practice
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area. Master’s degree preferred.
- Excellent organizational computer skills are required.
- Demonstrate skills at a moderate level for Excel and Word.
- Interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate with all levels of professionals and to represent, the Department, and SRAlab to internal audiences.
- Analytical skills needed to fulfill the position requirements.
- Understanding of budgetary principles and processes.
Working Conditions
- Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
