The Coordinator, Staffing maintains staffing schedules at all Sholom sites, including master schedules, daily schedules and the extended hours program schedule for the Nursing Department. Pay is based on experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Support residents and meet department needs by developing and managing staff schedules for regular Nursing employees, including Care Specialists/NAR, Nurses, Supervisors and others to comply with internal and external policies.
2) Work with preliminary orientation of new Nursing staff.
3) Work closely with Human Resources in addressing special cases.
4) Work closely with Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing on a daily basis to schedule and staff licensed staff and Care Specialists/NAR, ensuring a full roster. Work with Nurse Managers, Supervisors and Resident Care Coordinator to ensure staffing levels.
5) Ensure work schedules are accurately documented to meet state regulatory requirements.
6) Anticipate and report to Supervisor potentially hazardous conditions.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education, Experience and Credentials
• One to two years of experience in a related position dealing with staff screening, staffing and/or scheduling required.
• Work experience in long-term care or senior services preferred.
