POSITION SUMMARY
Position is responsible for providing exceptional guest service to guest and team members and maintaining a safe environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides exceptional, STAR Service to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

- Performs the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.
Observed facility entrances and exits providing guest service, guidance and monitors and explains house rules to guests and team members of Shooting Star Casino Hotel & Event Center.
- Greets and welcomes guests
- Checks for proper identifications and informs guest of house rules
- Assists guest with questions or concerns and provides direction or location of amenities.
- Inspects baggage of guests entering gaming floor. Issues baggage tags once baggage is inspected.
Address’s lost and found matters with guests and team members using software.
- Records and documents lost & found items using software.
- Communicates lost & found policy to guests and team members.
- Communicates status of lost & found items to guests and team members.
Patrols gaming floor and retail outlets to provide a safe and secure environment for guests and team members of the Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center.
- Inspects patrol areas ensuring compliance of casino policies.
- Informs supervisor of policy infractions.
- Completes reports on incidents using reporting software.
Observes and assists hardcount team members during coin and bill acceptor drop to ensure the security of funds and safety of team members and guests, while funds are being collected and transferred to designated area.
- Ensures written procedures are followed during drop process.
- Clears guests of slot machines during drop process and ensures designated routes are clear during transfer process.
- Initiates escorts by notifying Surveillance to ensure escorts of funds are monitored. Ensures funds are secure before completing transfer.
- Reports and documents any deviations, pertaining to escort procedures and immediately reports matters to supervisor.
Assists gaming departments personnel by verifying jackpots on slot machines and observing maintenance needs of slot machines. Insure compliance with policy and procedures, during process. Completes fills and credits for blackjack and poker games when requested by designated area.
- Verifies winning combination on slot machine.
- Attests to the accuracy of the payout, prior to the guest receiving winnings, by making sure proper paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Verifies slot machine is in need of a fill.
- Transfers chips to and from table games locations at request of table games supervision.
- Validates paperwork and amounts are correct during transfer process.
- Safeguards transfers throughout the process, ensuring the chips are placed on the table and paperwork is distributed to designated locations.
Assist with emergency alarms and emergency action plan when directed by immediate supervisor.
- Informs guests and team members of emergency situation and provides direction.
- Notifies guests and team members of nearest exit or safe areas in the event of emergency.
- Follows written procedures during emergency situations.
Assists with medical situation by notifying first responders of situation and renders first aid until responders arrive.
- Utilizes two-way radio or other means of communication to notify first responders of medical situation.
- Applies medical knowledge until responders arrive, basic first aid, CPR or automatic defibrillator as required.
- Documents and records incident reports on matters with great detail.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum of two months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses & Designations
Must meet licensing requirements, as prescribed by the Tribal-State Compact for gaming.
